Happy holidays!
Our Volunteer Lawyer’s Programme, which provides free one-off legal advice appointments, will be closed between 18th December 2023 and 7th January 2024- no consultations will be available to the public during this time.
All other services continue uninterrupted.
Our Volunteer Lawyers Programme provide free initial, one-off legal advice by lawyers who volunteer their time with us.
Volunteer legal advisers help people in our community – including those on low incomes who aren’t eligible for legal aid – to understand their rights and know what steps they can take next.
We run up to 16 advice appointments each week. These are currently by phone and involve more than 400 volunteer lawyers a year giving advice. Last year they advised around 3,000 people on issues including housing, rent deposits, family, employment, immigration and small claims.
If you need advice, please get in touch using our contact form, and we might be able to offer free initial advice through our volunteer lawyers. *No eligibility required – we are here for everyone!
