Immigration solicitor wins Outstanding Achievement Award

Our immigration solicitor Rajitha Kumar has been awarded one of only three Outstanding Achievement Awards from the Law Centres Network.

The award was in recognition of Rajitha’s outstanding success in achieving positive outcomes for her clients, many of whom would face persecution, torture and threats to life if they returned to their home country.

“Rajitha’s track record in terms of securing leave to remain for asylum applicants, children and victims of domestic violence is remarkable. In the ordinary course of events, these are exceptionally difficult cases to win and yet Rajitha does so consistently, in large part through her impressive capacity for innovative strategic thinking. Immigration is an area of law in which the outcome of a client’s case is often literally a life-or-death matter for them. As such, Rajitha’s work has a profound impact on her clients’ lives.”

Pradeep Kumar, Head of Immigration

The award was announced during the LCN Conference in December, and Rajitha was presented with her trophy by the SWLLC Chair of Trustees Allan Blake on 16 December.
