We no longer provide an in-house employment advice service. However, you may still be able to access free initial employment advice through one of the options below.
Employment Law for London (ELF)

- A law student will call you back to take some initial information.
- You will receive an email confirming your appointment date and time.
- A volunteer lawyer will call you on the day of your appointment and provide 30 minutes of free initial advice.

One-off Advice Programme
Our One-off Advice Programme provides free, initial legal advice from lawyers who volunteer their time with us.
Volunteer advisers support people in our community, including those on low incomes who are not eligible for legal aid, to understand their rights and decide on next steps.
- Up to 16 telephone appointments per week
- Hundreds of volunteer lawyers provide advice each year
- Around 3,000 people advised annually
- Areas covered include housing, rent deposits, family, employment, and small claims
If you need advice, please get in touch using our contact forms, and we may be able to offer free initial advice through our volunteer lawyers.
This service is open to everyone.
