Outreach

One of the ways we are present is through a series of outreach events aimed at creating accessibility and building meaningful relationships with our community.

The 1st and 3rd Friday of every month 10AM – 12 PM – Turn Up Friday at Merton Horizon Centre
Drop in at the New Horizon Centre to get some initial advice about your Housing and Cost of Living problems.

Two Thursdays per month – Wimbledon Foodbank
This event is for pre-booked appointments only

Two Mondays per month – Battersea Library CAB
This event is Money Advice ONLY, and pre-booked.

Every Tuesday per week – Selhurst Family Hub
This event is for drop-in sessions, 10AM – 12PM with the Citizens Advice who can then book an appointment with the Law Centre if you meet the criteria. Address: 23 Dagnall Park, London, SE25 5PL. To book an appointment outside of the outreaches please click here to request benefit or money advice.
Note: This is only for those in Croydon with children age 0-19, or age 0-25 with SEND needs.

We bring together residents in temporary accommodation in Croydon and Wandsworth for community-led action meetings. These sessions create a supportive space to share experiences, build confidence, and shape practical solutions and local advocacy around temporary accommodation. Where possible, sessions are joined by SWLLC housing paralegals who can provide one-off housing advice and signposting.

Croydon (South Norwood Community Kitchen)
Community lunch and action planning sessions at South Norwood Community Kitchen, 44b Portland Road, South Norwood, SE25 4PQ.

Wandsworth (Home Cafe, St Andrew’s)
Community breakfast and action planning sessions at Home Cafe, St Andrew’s, Garratt Lane, London SW18 4SR.

Children are welcome at both community cafes.

There are formal town hall temporary accommodation forums that take place every 3 months and the monthly action meetings influence these forums.
