Outreach

One of the ways we are present is through a series of outreach events aimed at creating accessibility and building meaningful relationships with our community.

Every Friday 9 AM – 12 PM – Turn Up Friday at Merton Horizon Centre
Drop in at the New Horizon Centre to get some initial advice about your Housing and Cost of Living problems.

Every Thursday 12 PM – 1 PM (only) – Drop in at the Wimbledon Foodbank
Drop in at the Wimbledon Foodbank to get some initial advice about your problems. This service helps with cost of living advice, benefit entitlement advice, bailiffs and other financial difficulties. Please note there is no guarantee everyone can be seen.

Two Mondays per month – Battersea Library CAB
This event is Money Advice ONLY, and pre-booked.

If you are in temporary accommodation in Croydon, we are at the South Norwood Community Kitchen on the 1st Thursday of the month sharing lunch and campaign planning from 10.30am – 1.30pm. We are joined by SWLLC housing paralegals to provide one off housing advice. The community kitchen is at 44b Portland Road, South Norwood, SE25 4PQ (See Flyer)

If you are in Wandsworth in temporary accommodation we are at Home Cafe, St Andrew’s, Garratt Lane, London SW18 4SR every 2nd Tuesday of the month. This is also a community cafe and we will be here sharing breakfast from 10am planning our temporary accommodation campaign.

Children are welcome at both community cafes.

*See flyer here.

There are formal town hall temporary accommodation forums that take place every 3 months and the monthly action meetings influence these forums.
