One of the ways we are present is through a series of outreach events aimed at creating accessibility and building meaningful relationships with our community.
Economic Justice Outreach Events
Turn-Up Friday, The first and third Friday of every month, 10am to 12 noon at the Merton Horizon Centre
Drop in at the Commonside Trust / New Horizon Centre to get some initial advice about your Housing and Cost of Living problems. Find us at Merton Commonside Trust, New Horizon Centre, S Lodge Avenue, Mitcham CR4 1LT)
Selhurst Children’s Centre, Pre-Booked Appointments on a Tuesday, 10am to 12 noon
Note: this session is only for those in Croydon with children age 0-19, or age 0-25 with SEND needs.
This event is for pre-booked appointments only and can be booked by ringing the Family Hub 020 8684 3777 with option 1 or by filling in this form. You can then book an appointment at either the Family Hub with Citizens Advice, our office in Centrale Croydon or by telephone or video. The appointments will be with an expert who can give you benefits, housing (not court hearings), debt and money advice.
Temporary Accommodation Community Action Meetings
We are relaunching and expanding our temporary accommodation campaign and will be pushing against the housing and economic systems that force so many people to live in temporary accommodation. We do this by monthly action meetings, quarterly formal town hall meetings and influencing local, London and national politics.
In our action meetings we share food, experience and support.
Children and babies are welcome.
We provide food and drink for you and any babies/children.
We can cover travel costs so you can attend.

Fourth Thursday of the month – South Norwood Community Kitchen, 10am to 12 noon
