Without the free or low-cost legal services our charity provides, many people across south-west London would be locked out of getting justice, because they can’t afford a lawyer.

Last year we helped 7,452 people to understand and uphold their rights, stay in their homes, clear debts, resolve employment problems, protect themselves and their families, and access benefits to prevent them from being pulled into poverty.

You can read some of their stories, and hear from others in this clip from the BBC’s The One Show, recorded in January 2020.

You can find out more about our impact in our latest annual review. You may also like to read last year’s annual review and infographic 2019.

You can also see a snapshot of the impact of our pro bono advice, offered by volunteer lawyers through our free community legal advice clinics.

The help I got from the Law Centre was amazing and uplifting. It helped me to get up on my feet and start fighting back. I’ve found a new job and my life is back on track
