Our 2024-2025 Impact Report

Following our AGM, we are proud to publish South West London Law Centres’ 2024-2025 Impact Report, covering the period from April 2024 to March 2025.

This year’s report comes as we mark 50+ years of South West London Law Centres, a new chapter that reflects not only how long we have been here, but why we continue to be needed. Across South West London, too many people still face unsafe housing, insecure immigration status, financial hardship, discrimination and barriers to justice. Our work exists to make sure they do not have to face those challenges alone.

Over the past year, we supported 5,469 people, worked on 2,805 casework matters, helped 875 people through our court duty schemes, and supported a further 1,526 people through our pro bono advice services.

These figures speak to the scale of our work, but they tell only part of the story. Behind every number is a person or family trying to keep a roof over their head, resolve an immigration matter, challenge unfair treatment, secure vital income, or find a way through crisis with the right advice and support.

Our impact is made possible by the skill, care and determination of our staff, volunteers, trustees, pro bono partners and supporters. This report reflects the breadth of that work across housing, immigration and asylum, employment, debt, benefits, economic justice, court-based support and community engagement.

As Pradeep Kumar, our Immigration Team Leader, writes in this year’s report:

“Marking 50+ years is not just a celebration of time passed. It’s a recognition of something enduring… a commitment that justice should never be a privilege of the few, but the right of all.”

That commitment continues to shape everything we do. This report is a snapshot of one year’s work, but it is also part of a much longer story: 50+ years of standing alongside our communities and working to ensure that justice is not out of reach.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this year’s report and to the work behind it.
