Holiday Season – Updates to Our Service Hours
As the holiday season approaches, we want to keep you informed about our office hours and service availability. Please take note of the following changes:
Our offices will be closed to the public from 25 December to 1 January (inclusive). During this time, we will not be conducting in-person consultations, and our main reception phone line will be temporarily closed.
For urgent matters that require immediate attention, we will provide a limited reception service on the following dates:
- 27 December: 11am – 2pm
- 28 December: 11am – 2pm
- 29 December: 11am – 2pm
Please note that our main reception phone line will be closed during these hours. However, we will be actively responding to email enquiries and handling urgent matters.
Keep in mind that our community one-off advice programme will have No Appointments Available from 18 December to 5 January.
If you require assistance with debt-related matters, our line for debt advice appointments will remain open throughout the holiday season. Feel free to reach out to us for guidance and support.
Turn Up Tuesdays will be closed on 19 December, 26 December, and 2 January, resuming on 9 January.
Our Housing Advice Helpline will be closed on 28 December but will be open on 21 December and 4 January.
We will still be running our Temporary accommodation meetings in early January and details are as follows:
- 4 January 2024, we are at the South Norwood Community Kitchen for a lunch forum addressing concerns in Croydon’s temporary accommodation. Residents are encouraged to share experiences and plan action following a letter sent to Croydon Cabinet Members. Responses from Cllr Lynne Hale, Susmita Sen, and Mayor Jason Perry are expected by January 18th.
- 9 January 2024, residents in Wandsworth’s temporary accommodation are invited to the Home Cafe in Earlsfield to shape a deputation for Wandsworth Council, emphasizing the need for outdoor green spaces in council-managed temporary accommodation blocks. Your input is vital in bringing about positive change.
If you need legal advice during the holidays, you can refer to our online resources, including our Get Advice pages, Income maximisation booklet, and Expert Advice Articles. You can use our online advice checker by clicking on the ‘Get advice’ button on the page of the issue you’re facing, and one of our team will get back to you during opening hours.
Wishing you a joyful and peaceful holiday season!
