Access to Justice in Surrey
To address the challenges faced by residents of Surrey in accessing affordable legal advice for social welfare issues, we have conducted thorough research over the past year. Our research aims to understand the needs of the community and the current provision of legal services across the county. We uncovered areas of unmet need across the county including housing, employment, immigration, welfare benefits, debt, education, and family law.
Through workshops and engagements with both community members and advisors, we’ve identified a pressing demand for expanded legal support services. While there are limited existing resources such as Citizens Advice and community initiatives, more specialised legal expertise is needed.

We want to continue our work to develop projects to meet the community need for specialist legal advice in Surrey, but we need your help to do this. Please consider making a donation to the Surrey Project HERE, so that we can take our research further.
